ZAMBIA

Zambia is a great country for walking - not too flat, great wildlife and fantastic people. Zambia is a country of stupendous natural beauty and once majestic herds of wildlife. Once again after years of governmental corruption and orgainised poaching campains the country and wildlife numbers are again getting a huge boost. These changes come partly from within the country and partly as the benifit of the political madness in Zimbabwe. Much of the brains and expertise of the Zimbabwian economy has migrated into Zambia and this has helped facilitate the economic growth of the country.

Zambia as a walking safari destination represents an interesting challenge in that there is no shortage of cowboy safari operators who melt away into the night when the wheels fall off - as they do on most days out here. The challenge is not so much as to find a walking safari operator, that will take you to the remoter parts of Zambia - as to find the safari operator who will bring you back from those parts. We feel that we have achieved the right balance with our choice of walking safari partners in Zambia.
