TANZANIA

Situated on the East Coast of Africa, Tanzania has, in the last decade, stepped out of the shadow of socialism forced on it after independence in 1964. Tanzania is also a country of unbelievable natural beauty blessed with one of the best wildlife spectacles that our planet experiences - the annual migration on the Serengeti.
Tanzania does have 2 rainy/monsoon seasons - short rains November, long rains April, May. This dependable monsoon rainfall allows for the great annual migration of wildebeest and zebra in the Serengeti and for the diversity of wildlife in the other parks throughout the region.
Many experts believe that Tanzania is the best region to visit as a first time visitor to Africa. Tanzania offers a ideal combination of walking in remote areas, wildlife, culture, mountains and beach. The areas of most interest to walkers are the volcanoes of Meru and Kilimanjaro in the north of the country and the cultural walking safaris with the Masai in this region. To the south and the west are the areas of best wildlife safari walking. Combining a patchwork of experiences offers great diversity and value for money as well as a top African walking holiday in the sun.
